Happy Happy Halloween...

Black cats and goblins and broomsticks and hosts.
Covens of witches with all of their hopes.
You may think they scare me. You're probably right.
Black cats and goblins on Halloween night.
(Trick or treat!)
A very poorly designed and coloured piece...but it is a sincere Halloween Greetings from your beloved Daughter of Darkness. If you'll light on a Jack-o'lantern and will put it out of your window tonight, she will come to visit you...

FOREWORD

Hello.
More than one year ago I started working on a new comic staring the Daughter of Darkness, my (anti)heroine Honey Venom. Unfortunately, since her birth (december 2003) to the present day, I didn’t release any complete comic about her(the only exception are the two "special" issues,
HoneyZ, completed in summer 2010, and available only in italian language).
I thought that this situation was, frankly, intolerable. So I began to work on a four chapter story called "Crossroads of Death".
The script needed a prologue, and so I drew it. But while I was completing the prologue, I realized my style was too detailed. I wished to make this comic my "masterpiece", but after some weeks of hard work I realized I was just breaking my back, hunching on pages and panels, taking a lot of time hatching and inking again and again. In my opinion, there is no reason for an amateur artist have to put so much care in each panel. It’s completely meaningless, if he/she wants to complete the comic before the end of the world. So, when I began to draw Chapter One, I simplified my style to produce more pages in the shortest time as possible.
Doing so, I realized the simplified style I adopted created an artistic gap between the prologue and the first chapter.
I was seriously tempted to forget the Prelude and to post only chapter one, but it would be such a waste, since I worked hard on it.
Finally, I decided to ignore any heavy contrast between the detailed style of the Prelude and the simplified style of Chapter One and I am gonna post both.
I want to spend some words to introduce my work. I began to draw comics long ago, when I was about 12 years old. My english-speaking friends know me expecially through the erotic and hentai art and comics I posted on hArtists and Hentai Foundry since 2007. I used several nicknames, the most "popular" are Niki (on Hentai Foundry) andHoneyVenom (on hArtists!). Before the "erotic" stage, I was mainly a fantasy storyteller and I always put a lot of comedy, grotesque and surreal humor in my comics. Planning the present work, I decided to revival that side of my style. I hope you all will enjoy this new story as you did with my old hentai strips.
